Berkeley Baroque Strings Presents Bach and Telemann: A Friendly Rivalry

Presented by Berkeley Baroque Strings

Join the Berkeley Baroque Strings for an evening of music by J.S. Bach and G.P. Telemann. Oboist Marc Schachman and violinist Linda Quan are the guest artists performing Bach’s Oboe and Violin Concerto in C minor. Orchestral Suite #4 (selected movements), Motet #6, Lobet den Herrn, and Violin Concerto in D minor, featuring orchestra member Paula White, round out the works by Bach. Ebb und Fluth and Concerto Polonais by Telemann complete the program.

Under the music direction of Kati Kyme, frequent leader of the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra and member of the New Esterhazy Quartet and Agave Baroque, the chamber orchestra is an affiliate of the San Francisco Early Music Society.

The concert takes place at St. Clement's Episcopal Church, 2837 Claremont Blvd., Berkeley.
