Symphony Supper Club

Presented by California Symphony

Donato Cabrera conducts the California Symphony

Symphony Supper Club, California Symphony’s annual gala, is Saturday, April 13, 2024 at the historic Claremont Hotel, hosted by Artistic Director Donato Cabrera with Honorary Chair Sharon Simpson and Event Co-Chairs Julie Basque and Abby Dye. This event serves as both a celebration of the arts and an important fundraiser for the California Symphony.

The celebration begins with a festive cocktail reception overlooking the San Francisco Bay. Attendees will be transported back to the golden era of supper clubs, renowned for their elegance and timeless music. Over dinner, you will be entertained by international jazz sensation, multi-instrumentalist, and star of Postmodern Jukebox Gunhild Carling. After the auction, as dinner winds down, guests will be invited to dance the night away to the seductive, swinging stylings of the Gunhild Carling Band.

For nearly 40 years, California Symphony has been the only professional orchestra serving Contra Costa’s underserved students and adult populations and launching the careers of young American composers like Pulitzer Prizewinner Kevin Puts and Grammy Award winner Mason Bates. Proceeds from the event benefit our growing arts community, the professional musicians of the California Symphony, and music education programs that boost local students.
