A Baroque Celebration: Will Cayanan, Arthur Omura and Heeguen Song in Concert

Presented by Calliope: East Bay Music & Arts

Calliope is delighted to present this special celebration of hyper-local artists: Arthur Omura on harpsichord, William Cayanan on cello, and Heeguen Song on violin. Each of the three artists will perform a solo set, in addition to collaborating on several pieces including works by Rameau, Bach, Gabrieli and Vitali.

We are thrilled to highlight artists who are deeply committed to our community; Mr. Omura grew up in Albany and attended Albany public schools before graduating from University of Southern California with both bachelor's and master's degrees in music. Mr. Cayanan grew up locally, attended Berkeley public schools, and has just completed his performance studies, with a Master's degree in cello performance from Jacobs School of Music at University of Indiana, and a bachelor's from Cleveland Institute of Music. Dr. Song lives right around the corner from St. Alban's, and last appeared for us as a member of Ensemble Ari in November of 2021. She attended Oberlin Conservatory, and both the Juilliard and Yale Schools of Music.
