Divergent Sounds: Arjun Verma, sitar

Presented by Community Concerts at Epworth

Arjun Verma, sitar

Community Concerts at Epworth welcomes the return of Arjun Verma to our stage to present an hour-long program of Northern Indian classical music.

Trained under the master of Indian classical music, Ali Akbar Khan, Arjun brings the experience of three decades of world performance to our North Berkeley venue.

Community Concerts at Epworth is a community service of Epworth United Methodist Church of Berkeley, a Reconciling Congregation committed to justice for all people.  During our 2022-2023 season, Divergent Sounds, we are presenting programs from four continents, ranging from French impressionism to Argentine tango.

Supporters like you make it possible for us to offer high quality music of diverse styles and genres to our community.  Donations are accepted online on our website.

COVID SAFETY:  To ensure the continued health and safety of our community, we ask all attendees to wear a well-fitting mask at all times while indoors.  Performers have the option to be unmasked, provided they have completed a recent Covid antigen test and stay at least twelve feet from the audience.  We ask those experiencing symptoms to enjoy the livestream of the performance at home.
