Shelter in Place Community Concerts - No. 4

Presented by Community Concerts at Epworth

This is the fourth of our Shelter in Place Community Concerts and the final concert for this season. Our original season was to conclude in April with a performance by Ensemble Ari (pictured). However their performance was postponed when shelter-in-place began. We are pleased that they are able to return with an entertaining and joyful contribution to our season finale, featuring:

Harpsichordist JungHae Kim, one of the country's premier early music specialists and a past Community Concerts performer (Bach Partita No. 5)

Ensemble Ari, a Bay Area group of musicians bridging cultures through western instruments (Jean Ahn Froggy Froggy, Handel/Halvorsen Passacaglia)

Violist Matthew Young, San Francisco Symphony (Bach Partita No. 2, Chaconne)

Watch and listen Sunday afternoon at 4:00pm on our Community Concerts website: https://www.communityconcertepworth.org or on the Community Concerts at Epworth Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/communityconcertepworth/live_videos/

Donations to our fourth concert benefit the Berkeley Food Network, supporting their goal of ending hunger in Berkeley.

As we pause for the summer months we will continue to explore the best method of bringing music to our audience. More than ever, we need the healing power of music and the sustaining strength of community to help us through these challenging times. We wish you good health, and we hope you will stay in touch with us. Caroline Lee, Artistic Director
