Performance Psychology for Enhanced Learning and Teaching with Grace Huenemann

March 3 from 2:30–4pm
CMC Piano Lab
Free

Applying insights from performance psychology research in athletics and learning theory, piano faculty Grace Huenemann will offer practical strategies for effective and engaging practice and coaching. Topics include practice skills for efficient learning and consistent performance, building confidence, and performing with focus and musical freedom.

This free workshop is best suited for intermediate and advanced pianists or educators. There will be short demonstrations and limited space for participants in CMC’s Piano Lab. Please Register in advance to reserve your spot and share info about any repertoire you plan to bring.

In 30 years of experience teaching piano at CMC and other music schools, Grace Huenemann has continuously sought out better ways to teach and learn. She draws on Creative Behavior, workshops, and most recently the work of Noa Kagayama in performance psychology, to create a positive and productive environment that supports her students’ musical growth and enjoyment.
