The Poetry of Physics

Presented by Earplay

Earplay members: T. Baune, E. Rose, T. Moore, M. Chun, P. Josheff, T. Brody performing on classical instruments

Earplay launches its 39th season on February 5, 2024. Join us as we honor the late Andrew Imbrie through the world premiere of Miguel Chuaqui’s Ad Hoc, an Earplay commission. The program continues with Suzanne Sorkin’s highly charged, and beautifully crafted String Trio in Two Movements, alongside the luminous textures of Light and Matter by the late Kaija Saariaho. Rounding out the concert will be Local composer Ines Thiebaut’s panta rhei for piano and electronics, culminating with Estro Poetico-armonico II, Yotam Haber’s delicate and poetic reimagining of Benedetto Marcello’s 18th century psalm setting.
