Opening Festival Opera’s 2020 Artist Recital Series, mezzo-soprano Renée Rapier and pianist Robert Mollicone present Nuit d’Espagne, a recital of music and texts from or inspired by Spain.

Both alumni of San Francisco Opera’s Merola Program and Adler Fellowship, this powerhouse duo is well-known to Bay Area audiences and are establishing stellar credits here and abroad. Ms. Rapier will return to Festival Opera in July to star in the title role of Bizet’s CARMEN.

This program will include songs of Rossini, favorites from the French Song repertoire, 7 Canciones Populares Españolas by De Falla, Spanish Songs, Op.100, by Shostakovich, and others.

All are invited to a wine reception with the artists immediately following the performance.
