For its first concert of 2024, the KSO will present a program entitled Mentor & Protégé featuring highly regarded local pianist Amy Zanrosso as the soloist in Brahms's monumental Piano Concerto No. 1, Op. 15 in D minor. The Concerto will be preceded by music of Brahms's mentor Robert Schumann with his not often performed mid-period work, Overture, Scherzo and Finale, Op. 52. both conducted by KSO Music Director, Geoffrey Gallegos.
