New Century Chamber Orchestra continues its 2021-2022 season with an evening of illuminating American contemporary works highlighted by the world premiere of Mark Adamo's Last Year, a cello concerto that features acclaimed contemporary music champion Jeffrey Zeigler as soloist. Making his New Century debut, Zeigler will also appear as soloist for William Grant Still's haunting Phantom Chapel and will lead the ensemble in the world premiere of Paola Prestini's reimagining of Tanya Tagaq's "In Me." The program concludes with a colorful flourish in Andy Akiho's Oscillate.
