Opera Club by Diana Skavronskaya invites you to the Puccini Gala concert on December 17 at the JCC - Los Gatos.
We will bring you into a world of passion, beauty, love, and tragedy, a world of human experience that unfolds in the operas:
- La Bohème,
- Turandot,
- the opera-ballet Le Villi,
- Madama Butterfly,
- Manon Lescaut.
Three outstanding opera singers will share with you Puccini's genius.
Diana Skavronskaya. Soprano, Opera Singer.
One of San Francisco's most captivating opera sopranos and the State Tchaikovsky Conservatory graduate. Diana performed on the legendary Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall in October 2023.
Alex Boyer. Tenor, Opera Singer.
He has sung lead roles with San Francisco Opera, Chicago Opera Theatre, Hawaii Opera Theater, and many others. He is a former resident artist with Opera San Jose, and was an apprentice with the Merola Opera Program.
Eugene Brancoveanu. Baritone, Opera Singer.
A graduate of the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz and the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg. Performed in Europe and the US including the Metropolitan Opera, Royal Opera House in London, and Teatro alla Scala in Milan. He was awarded an honorary Tony Award for Baz Luhrmann's production of La Bohème.
Arina Makhinina. Concert pianist.
Laureate of Numerous International Competitions. She has performed in Germany, Switzerland, Sweden and many other. Her repertoire covers a wide variety of musical eras and styles: from Rachmaninoff, Rimsky-Korsakov and Tchaikovsky to the operatic drama of G. Puccini.
