The Rose in Winter: Songs of Mary

Presented by San Francisco Choral Artists

A unique online musical event — Available December 11 - 31, 2020 Join SFCA in celebrating the holidays with an eclectic and enticing grab bag of seasonal music — and edible treats (recipes included). Enjoy the warm embrace of beautiful, vibrant, uplifting, and heartfelt singing without braving the weather! The need to move online this year comes with other silver linings: We’ve got non-local guest artists — the amazing Quadre Horn Quartet — plus other instrumentalists, a rare opportunity to hear solos and duets….and no bridge traffic! Our program of music in praise of Mary, the Rose in Winter, includes new performances along with concert highlights from the past — beloved and less-known works stretching from Medieval England to Classical Boston to San Francisco today, with stops in Germany, France, and Russia. As always, Artistic Director Magen Solomon will share brief, engaging notes on the repertoire. And then there are the goodies! While listening, why not try a new recipe from the SFCA family’s kitchens and warm the body along with the soul. Please join us… Watch and listen on your own schedule! This special online musical event will be accessible starting December 11 at 7pm through December 31, for a ticket price of your choosing. You can enjoy it all at once, or in bite-sized chunks. (And you can have seconds!)
