SFIAF presents Rosemary Hannon & Miriam Wolodarski, “This Is It”

Presented by San Francisco International Arts Festival

Rosemary and Miriam

“This is a time for dealing with reality as it is, not as you would have it be"
(I Ching Online.net 2015).

“But one thing is certain. If one is making something which is to be nothing, the one making must love and be patient with the material he chooses”
(John Cage, Lecture on Nothing 1959).

In 2015 Rosemary Hannon & Miriam Wolodarski started working with these quotes as they reflected on their aesthetic influences and practices. These words continue to frame openings into the unknown. Their moving bodies become source material: they practice letting their bodies being shaped through responsive devotion, receptive influence.

On a shared bill with Aura Fischbeck Dance and Alma Esperanza Cunningham.
