The Del Sol Quartet, an internationally acclaimed string quartet, is a leading force in the Bay Area music scene, championing music by living artists that explores aspects of social change, technology and artistic innovation. They believe that music can, and should, happen anywhere. The Joy Project shares new music written for strings, and in a wide variety of styles, to inspire joy in the community.

This event is part of the SFPL Golden Gate Valley Branch's annual Open House, 1-5pm, celebrating the branch's service from 1918 to the present, with family friendly activities scheduled throughout the day: Henna art 1-2pm, SFFD Fire Truck 2-3pm, Del Sol Quartet 3-4pm. Also button making, snacks and light refreshments, and crafts with the Museum of Craft and Design.

The branch is located in the SF Pacific Heights neighborhood at 1801 Green St., between Laguna and Octavia streets.
