Roaring 20's: Jazz and Cabaret in Silent Film

Presented by SF Salon Music

Take a time machine with us back to the Roaring Twenties and enter our speakeasy for a night of jazz, cabaret, film, food and wine.

Channel your inner Great Gatsby by spending an evening with us exploring the history of cabaret and its depiction in the early days of Hollywood. A noted film historian will give some background on the music that once accompanied silent films, back when most movie theaters had a live orchestra. Then, enjoy the vocal stylings of jazz standards that will be sure to get your toes tapping.

As always with SF Salon Music, expect the unexpected! You'll leave with new knowledge, new memories, and perhaps even a new connection. Join us on March 17 at the Verdi Club in San Francisco for this once-in-a-lifetime performance.
