I Cantori di Carmel presents its 2023/2024 Vocal Arts Academy focusing on German Romantic Repertoire

Applications are now open for the 2023-2024 Vocal Arts Academy presented by I Cantori Di Carmel. Academy members receive training and mentorship through a 4-day intensive on 19th Century German Repertoire at Hidden Valley Music Seminars in Carmel Valley before becoming featured soloists in our upcoming concert season. This is perfect for you if you are passionate about choral music, vocal performance, and are ready for mentorship and performance opportunities. For this fall's VAA, we are looking for sopranos, mezzo-sopranos and baritones.

Pocket Opera auditions for 2020 season

Pocket Opera will hold its auditions for its 2020 season on September 20 (7-10pm) and September 21 (1-4pm).

Please prepare 2-3 arias, and at least one MUST be in English, as Pocket Opera performs all its productions in English.

Nearly all roles are available, as well as a chamber sized chorus.

Pocket Opera Auditions for 2019 Season Sep 14 and 15

Pocket Opera announces auditions for its 2019 season. Operas this season include: Elixir of Love (Donizetti), Two Widows (Smetana), La Rondine (Puccini), The Tales of Hoffmann (Offenbach), Barber of Seville (Rossini). Auditions will be held September 14 and 15 (7-10pm). Prepare 2-3 arias--at least one aria MUST be in English. Pocket Opera performs its own English translations, and arias will be made available in our translation if you wish to present them.

FOR THE 2018 SEASON
OPENINGS IN ALL VOICE CATEGORIES
San Francisco Opera will hold auditions in October & November for experienced, classically trained singers who are seeking a professional contract in the San Francisco Opera Chorus for the 2018 season. Positions for all voice parts may be available in the full-time Regular Chorus, and all voice parts in the part-time Extra Chorus will be available with a special need for male voices for the 2018 spring production of Götterdämmerung.

Sing a Story

San Francisco Opera Guild, a non-profit organization that has provided arts education programs to Northern California communities for over 75 years, seeks an experienced Teaching Artist for its Sing A Story program. Sing a Story takes place in classrooms at schools across the Bay Area.
