Come Sing with the GGOC!

The Golden Gate Symphony Orchestra & Chorus is calling all singers to join the chorus this fall as we prepare for an exciting season including our annual Handel's Sing It Yourself Messiah in December and the opportunity to perform Beethoven's Ninth Symphony in Switzerland next June. Performances are held at the historic Herbst Theatre in San Francisco and at the City Clock Tower in Benicia.

Come and join a group of passionate and dedicated singers and experienced choral musicians who share a love for singing!

Voci is the Bay Area’s premier women’s vocal ensemble. Our 24-30 voice auditioned ensemble specializes in beautiful and challenging music for women’s voices, championing music written for women and by women, from all parts of the world and every century.

Voci rehearses Wednesday evenings, late August through May in Orinda, and performs primarily in the East Bay (Oakland, Berkeley and Lafayette).

Voci Women’s Vocal Ensemble, directed by Mitchell Covington, seeks experienced women singers for its 2018-19 season.

Auditions will be held through August 15, or until all positions are filled. Rehearsals start September 5.

Voci is an intimate, high-level treble ensemble of 24-30 singers that performs adventurous music from a wide range of historical periods. Now in its 27th year, Voci is considered one of the finest choral groups in the Bay Area. Voci promotes and commissions music written for, and by women.

Voci is an intimate, warm and welcoming, high-level treble ensemble of 24 singers. We perform adventurous music from a wide range of historical periods.

We rehearse Wednesday evenings from 7:30 to 10:00 PM in Orinda and perform each spring and winter, primarily in the East Bay.

Rehearsals begin Wednesday, January 11

Additional retreats and/or rehearsals are scheduled during the season.

AUDITIONS WILL BE HELD THROUGH FEBRUARY 1, 2016
The audition consists of the performance of a prepared solo piece a cappella
and various ear-training and sight-singing exercises

Voci Women’s Vocal Ensemble, directed by Dr. Anne Hege, will be holding auditions for experienced choral singers in all voice parts through Sept. 9.

Voci is a 24-voice, auditioned ensemble, which performs classical music from a wide variety of historical periods. Now in its 24th year, Voci is considered one of the finest choral groups in the Bay Area. Voci promotes and commissions music for and by women.

Voci rehearses Wednesday evenings from 7:30 to 10:00 PM in Orinda. Rehearsals begin Wednesday, Aug.. 19.

Fall concert dates are October 18, November 14 and 21.

Vocal Auditions

Kitka is currently accepting preliminary materials for our spring 2015 live auditions

Submission deadline: April 15, 2015

To apply for a live audition, please submit the following items:

1.) Statement of interest including biographical information describing your musical/performance background.

2.) Audio (MP3 files or Soundcloud links) or video recordings (YouTube or Vimeo links) of 2 contrasting pieces demonstrating your skills singing Eastern European folk songs. Ideally, recordings should be unedited, without effects or overdubbing.
