Myriad Music School has professional, fun, and innovative teachers serving the mid-Peninsula since 1997. Our creative teaching methods help students of all ages enjoy their classes, excel at home practice, and perform with joy and confidence! We offer every style of lessons from classical to jazz and pop. As we have many teachers on staff we are able to match students with a teacher that works best with their particular age, ability and interest.
Small group classes are perfect for introducing young students to the piano, guitar, or recorder. A specially balanced curriculum introduces musical concepts, builds self-esteem and helps motivate students. Classes include Guitar Team, Piano Team, Getting Ready for Piano, Getting Ready for Guitar, and Recorder Choir.
Chamber ensembles include the Chamber Players Orchestra, Camerata Orchestra and the Galbraith Honor Strings, and cater to students of varying levels of experience.
Concerts tours, retreats, participation in music festivals and exchanges with other youth orchestras are a vital part of the ECYS experience, as well as guest soloists of international stature. Camerata Orchestra is an intermediate orchestra for students with three or more years of private lessons. There are weekly sectionals and full orchestra for all instruments.
The ECYS Percussion Ensemble is comprised of percussionists currently in the Sinfonietta, Wind Orchestra and Senior Symphony. The section meets separately from orchestra practice to rehearse and to prepare their programs with coaches.
