Palo Alto-based Golden State Youth Orchestra invites young musicians ages 6-18 to audition for the 2024-25 season. Led by an internationally renowned faculty, GSYO offers six orchestras/ensembles for students at all levels of musical ability. Start your musical journey in the entry-level orchestra Chamber Players or challenge yourself in the prestigious Symphony Orchestra!

GSYO has openings at all levels for the 2023-24 Season!

Recognized as one of the premier ensembles of its kind, the Chabot Wind Symphony is comprised of the most outstanding musicians in the greater Bay Area. The Wind Symphony has been highly praised for "…musical and inspiring performances," and "truly fine music making." Known for adventurous programming, the group pursues a commitment to performing new and historically significant music for wind band. The Chabot Wind Symphony pursues the highest professional standards and is determined to bring its audiences the finest artistic repertoire from all musical periods, cultures, and styles.

CYS auditions are open to students of high school age and younger as of September of the coming season.

Auditions for new members for the 2011-2012 season will be held the weekends of April 8 & 9, and April 15 & 16.

Completed online applications, along with $25 application fee per musician, must be received by March 15.
