Gold Coast Chamber Players, a group which consistently brings superb professionals from all over to Lafayette and Orinda, is at it again. Cellists Ron Howard (S.F. Symphony), Jennifer Culp (formerly of the Kronos Quartet), violinist Mariya Borozina (S.F. Opera and Ballet), and violist and founder Pamela Freund-Striplen welcome two guests from the renowned, Maastricht-based Amati Ensemble (founder Gil Sharon and violinist Ron Ephrat) for this weekend’s concerts. They’ll be playing chamber versions of the Mozart and Haydn Sinfonia Concertantes. If you’re east of the Berkeley hills, you certainly don’t have to go far to find a great concert this weekend.
