Music for the Royal Women of Britain

Are the American Bach Soloists going to watch the nuptials of Kate and William? The group seems like it's preparing for it this weekend, when they'll perform some of the largest and most sumptuous choral works of the late Baroque.

The program, subtitled “Music for the Royal Women of Britannia,” splits time between the two greatest composers ever to celebrate the English monarchy, Henry Purcell and G.F. Handel. We don't know what these guys actually thought of the royals, but they knew where to go for their bread and butter. Flattery doesn't get any better than this.
