Voices of Music: World of Contrasts

Voices of Music

Lots of early music groups have done the Baroque concerto program (Vivaldi, Bach, and take your pick), but Voices of Music is one-upping the formula.

For its San Francisco Early Music Society program, this plucky group of musicians from the Bay Area's finest Baroque ensembles present a world of contrasts, exploring a wide range of moods and emotions and showing the diversity of concerto-making in the Baroque era.

Many of the pieces, like Corelli's “Christmas” Concerto are popular items on their own, but are rarely brought together on one program. It should be an unusual experience.
