Violinists Wanted!

Symphony Parnassus

Posted: July 12, 2019

Symphony Parnassus is an advanced-level community orchestra based in San Francisco. The orchestra rehearses Monday evenings at SFSU from 7:30-10pm. Our season runs mid-September to early June. Performances take place four times a year at the Taube Atrium Theater in the Wilsey Center for Opera or the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Repertoire ranges from Beethoven to Shostakovich with occasional commissioned new works by local composers. Our music director, Stephen Paulson, shares his wealth of knowledge gleaned from his 40+ year career as principal bassoonist of the San Francisco Symphony. His detailed feedback makes this a challenging, rewarding, and fun musical experience. We are currently seeking violinists, but welcome all interested musicians to visit our website:
