10th Anniversary Season: A cappella masterworks

Chorale

This a cappella chorus of 24–32 balanced voices is divided into two SATB choirs to tackle some of the more demanding 8-part choral literature. Repertoire for the 2015–2016 season includes Rheinberger’s Mass in E-flat for double choir and modern works by Pårt, Górecki, Howells, and Persichetti.

Our smaller chamber group Ensemble encourages individual responsibility with as few as 3–4 voices per part. Repertoire for the 2015–2016 season includes Victoria’s Missa Ave maris stella, Poulenc motets, and secular part songs by Herzogenberg, Britten, Finzi, and Schoenberg.

Rehearsals are Monday evenings in the Pacific Heights neighborhood of San Francisco. Our community audition for new members will be Monday, September 14th from 6:30–9:30 pm. You will have the opportunity to sing in small groups along with some of our current members. This gives you the chance to try us out, and helps us determine if you are a good fit. To sign up for an audition, please e-mail [email protected] with your name and voice part.
