*Singers should possess a good ability to read music and familiarity with standard repertoire from all genres, both sacred and secular. Flexibility and dedication to minimal rehearsal, meaning time spent outside of rehearsal. Seeking choral voices that blend easily and are free of large vibratos.
*Experience in singing motet and madrigal music and experience with choral performances and the practices and details required.
*Little to no time can be offered to teach notes at rehearsals, so singers are expected to be prepared with the understanding that the rehearsal is for refining with occasional work on the few issues that may arise with pitches or blend.
*A good sense of humor and a desire to learn and have fun with other pleasant musicians is also important.
*Performances usually include instrumentalists, vocal solos and ensembles so that we are not bound to 60 or 90 minutes of choral repertoire. Usually 45 minutes of actual choral music.
