Summer 2015 will be the inaugural year of the BAY AREA SUMMER ORCHESTRA PROJECT (BASOP). This is an ensemble to created to accommodate all the orchestral players in the area whose regular orchestral ensemble are on summer hiatus. This group will begin the second week of July and give a concert in the 3rd week of August. In addition to concert repertoire the ensemble will read through a number of works chosen by the members of the orchestra.
MARK NARINS is the music director. Mark is associate conductor of the Kensington Symphony, former conductor of the Arizona Festival Orchestra, ORCHESTAI - Arizona's Touring Orchestra, Oakland Opera and City Opera Theater of San Francisco.
