Wanted: Musically Omnivorous Singers!

Now is your chance to be part of the Bay Area’s uncommon chorus, the Grammy-nominated Pacific Edge Voices. If you are an experienced singer, strong sight-reader, and interested in exploring a range of musical genres, then PEV is for you!

Repertoire
Each season has a varied repertoire that often includes classical pieces from all eras, African-American spirituals and, in our A Cappella Jazz & Pop concert, every conceivable genre – ‘hardly strictly’ jazz & pop! Past collaborations have included Bobby McFerrin, Sufjan Stevens, Meredith Monk, and Sweet Honey in the Rock. We worked with Dave Brubeck to produce two CDs of his choral music, and our Grammy nomination was for a performance of Bernstein’s Mass with Kent Nagano conducting. Explore our website for music samples and more information on our history.

Season 2016-17 will include winter and spring classical concerts (incl. Bach, Handel, Whitacre & Dole on the menu), a fundraiser, our Jazz & Pop concert in June, and periodic special events and retreats. Each is an opportunity to stretch the boundaries of what a chamber chorus can be!

We rehearse in Berkeley (Monday nights) and perform in both San Francisco and the East Bay. Solo opportunities are auditioned from within the chorus, so both solo and choral singers are welcome.

Visit our website for more details, to hear audio samples, and consider checking us out at our ever-popular A Cappella Jazz & Pop concerts this June.
