The San Francisco Lyric Chorus invites singers to join us for our Spring 2020 Season as we sing music by two major contemporary composers, Ola Gjeilo & Eric Whitacre, plus a variety of classic American hymns & spirituals.
 
Program:

Marin Baroque, directed by Daniel Canosa, and based in San Anselmo, CA, is currently seeking volunteer singers in all voice parts, including countertenors. Concert is May 2, 2020: Handel Coronation Anthem and more. Audition requirements: strong choral and solo experience, knowledge of vocal technique, and music-reading ability. What: Auditions for the Fall 2019 season. We are looking for both professional and qualified volunteer singers with strong musicianship skills. We ask that singers bring an aria or a song of their choice, and will be asked to do simple sight-reading

Join us as we celebrate this happy time singing joyous music of the season, accompanied by harp and flute.

Chora Nova, a mixed-voice adult chorus, explores music from the 17th to 20th centuries, performing with orchestra or piano accompaniment. This year's programs are: Handel's celebratory Dettingen Te Deum and Dettingen Anthem in November with a period-instrument orchestra, Vivaldi's Gloria and Dixit Dominus in May, also with a period-instrument orchestra, and an exploration of the part song in March with our brilliant accompanist on piano. The chorus, led by Paul Flight, rehearses Tuesday evenings in north Berkeley. For more information, go to choranova.org/auditions.

The San Francisco Bach Choir offers dedicated singers the opportunity to study and perform both Early Music and the diverse repertoire of great works from other eras and genres. We use historically informed performance practice, and perform with world-class professional instrumentalists and soloists, both period and modern.

The continuing growth of Masterworks Chorale brings opportunities to sing the world’s greatest choral music with a finely tuned choir and orchestra. We invite singers in all vocal ranges to audition.

Rehearsals are Monday nights at 7:00 at Transfiguration Episcopal Church, San Mateo in the sanctuary. All auditions are also held at the church.
