I love teaching and performing - and I do a lot of both!
I have been
teaching in the Bay Area for over a decade, and I also perform regularly
with Opera Santa Barbara's innovative education outreach program, The
Opera Lab. I perform locally and abroad -- I have sung in Spoleto,
Italy, for two summers and bring my expertise in Italian into lessons.
I
teach children and adults - anyone who has a passion for singing and
wants to learn! I help you create a solid technique rooted in a free

All Things Strings

A week of string music fun, developing good string techniques while enjoying daily workshops in playing styles (jazz, baroque, etc), a chance to compose a piece, and a great study unit on Mozart! Camp ends with a short performance on Friday, August 17.

The San Jose Chamber Orchestra is a professional string orchestra focused on presenting high-quality chamber orchestra repertoire. SJCO continues to champion a variety of living composers alongside more familiar classical works. Teacher Barbara Day Turner is the founder and Musical Director at SJCO.

I am an enthusiastic and creative person who truly enjoys sharing the
gift of music with a particular emphasis on the harp. I leave my
student after each lesson with technical and repertoire expectations.
Several of my students have gone on to entertain many different groups
as well as perform with orchestras in the North Bay.

Eric Kujawsky

 I am a
veteran music teacher in the public schools, with extensive musical
connections throughout the Bay Area. I have played and taught violin,
viola, clarinet and saxophone professionally in orchestras and jazz
bands. I educate the Whole Musician; I instruct in music reading,
instrumental technique and general music appreciation. I will come to
your home (I do not have a studio.)
Besides, teaching, I conduct the
most innovative and family-friendly community orchestra in the Bay Area,

Dominique Piana

My teaching career started in Brussels area music academies, teaching solfège (sight-singing) while I was a harp student. I also have an extensive piano background. Since moving to California, I have taught many students privately and at university level. I have pursued simultaneously a career focused on solo/ chamber music performance and teaching. It is important for me to leave a legacy, so I am also engaged in music advocacy, writing on harp literature and in arranging, editing and publishing harp music.

Christina Wong

Freelance violist from San Francisco, educated at Juilliard and CIM. I
recently moved back and am looking to build up my private studio.
Extensive performance experience in solo, chamber and orchestral
settings with groups in the Bay Area and North East. Looking for
motivated students with a desire to learn and hone the art of playing.

I love the harp and I hope to instill that love into the students I teach. I mostly teach beginners of all ages. I belong to one of the largest harp studios in the bay area. So student can start with me and go on to one of the other teachers for advanced work, either in the folk harp area or pedal harp area. Students have the opportunity to perform in a yearly recital as well as performing in ensemble in Harpeggio's "20 Harps for the Holidays" Winter Concert. Students don't have to perform in front of others, if they don't want to.
