Thingamakids! Summer Camp

Join Thingamajigs’ team of artists in a fun and engaging arts camp designed to expand the young creative mind. Through interactive workshops incorporating music, body movement, drama and visual art, campers will gain a unique and well-rounded experience in creativity, collaboration and experimentation.

All Things Strings

A week of string music fun, developing good string techniques while enjoying daily workshops in playing styles (jazz, baroque, etc), a chance to compose a piece, and a great study unit on Mozart! Camp ends with a short performance on Friday, August 17.

The San Jose Chamber Orchestra is a professional string orchestra focused on presenting high-quality chamber orchestra repertoire. SJCO continues to champion a variety of living composers alongside more familiar classical works. Teacher Barbara Day Turner is the founder and Musical Director at SJCO.

Freight and Salvage Coffeehouse

Kids create their own musical theater! The stage doors open wide in this two-week camp where kids explore the world of theater by writing, designing, and starring in an original production based on traditional American folk songs. The camp culminates in a final gala performance on stage at the Freight & Salvage Coffeehouse in downtown Berkeley.

The Morning Camp: Animals! session, for ages 5-7, is based on animal songs. Camp runs two weeks, Monday-Friday from 9:00 am-noon.
