When the Miró Quartet was last by the bay, at Kohl Mansion, SFCV's reviewer, David Bratman, raved about their playing of late Schubert and Beethoven. Now they're back, this time kicking off Music@Menlo's “winter“ season at the Center for the Performing Arts at Menlo-Atherton. They're here to dig further into Beethoven canon — this time, all three “Razumovsky" quartets, a tall order for any group on one program. But with their intense concentration, attention to detail, and powerhouse sound, this quartet seems made for the job.
