Delirium Musicum Pioneers Online Singalong

Delirium Musicum

Delirium Musicum is looking to make a big impact with a short video. The Los Angeles-based chamber orchestra recorded an arrangement of “Bella Ciao” earlier this month. The setup (separate but together, split-screen style) and the music (an Italian work song, also the theme song for a Netflix series) are decidedly of the moment.

Now, Delirium Musicum is inviting viewers to sing along. You can download the sheet music on the ensemble’s website. Then, record your performance — Delirium Musicum says dress up, choose a favorite background, make up lyrics if you like — and upload your video to social media. Tag Delirium Musicum on Facebook or Instagram, and you could win a free online lesson with one of the ensemble’s members.

Get recording! And for more information, visit Delirium Musicum’s sing-along page. Plus, remote recordings aren’t all that Delirium Musicum’s been up to recently. The ensemble just released a snippet of its first socially distanced concert from a courtyard. Watch that video here.
