The Los Angeles Philharmonic's classical season at the Hollywood Bowl opens tonight, Michael Tilson Thomas conducting Mahler's Second Symphony ("Resurrection"), with the Los Angeles Master Chorale, soprano Kiera Duffy, and mezzo-soprano Sasha Cooke. On Thursday, MTT conducts the Sibelius Violin Concerto, with Gil Shaham as soloist.
